Burke County Coroner Susan Salemi said Charlotta Lockhart suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and her boyfriend was taken into custody at a local hospital. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Augusta.
The Burke County Jail confirmed Dexter Alexander Anderson was in custody Sunday night, charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
