A woman from Mitchell, Ga., is scheduled for arraignment Thursday in U.S. District Court in Augusta where she faces charges of fraud and identity theft.

Tiquela N. Murray, 33, is accused of using phony debit cards to purchase large amounts of cigarettes, which were later transported to the New York and Philadelphia areas for resale from January 2010 through April 19, 2011.

The federal prosecutor is also seeking forfeiture of $24,700 in cash that federal officers seized.

Murray was indicted in 2011 but wasn’t taken into custody until Jan. 30.

Now tobacco is legal, taxed but legal. The pot heads will tell you that if we do the same with dope that it will stop all crime associated with pot.
