A man accused of groping women in Augusta area Wal-Mart stores was among several people indicted by a Columbia County grand jury Wednesday.

Javantroi Perez Walden, 34, was indicted on two counts of sexual battery, simple battery, driving under the influence, fleeing, obstruction and several traffic charges in connection with a Dec. 23 incident in which he is accused of assaulting a deputy and ramming a patrol car, according to court documents released Thursday.

He also is accused of punching a Columbia County sheriff’s deputy who approached him as he headed to his vehicle in the Evans Wal-Mart parking lot about 2 a.m. Walden’s car also collided with a second deputy’s patrol car.

The same day, two women, ages 26 and 39, reported having their breasts grabbed at the Martinez Wal-Mart on Bobby Jones Expressway by a man who matched the description from the incident in Evans.

Since July, Walden has been charged with groping at least four women in Wal-Mart stores and a teenager at Sonic.

The grand jury also indicted five teens charged in a Dec. 28 robbery in Grovetown. Anthony Blade Turner, Baker Lee Brannen Cochran, Larry Charles Porche, Austin Tyler Love, and Christopher Scott Love were all indicted on charges of robbery, entering an auto and criminal trespass. Porche also was charged with burglary.

The teens are accused of breaking into a truck at Eagle Point apartments. The owner, armed with his firearm, chased the teens to a nearby laundromat, where he grabbed a 16-year-old. The other five teens rushed the man, stole his gun and shoes and ran away, according to the indictment. A bag of tools was taken from his truck.

All five teens were being held in the jail. Christopher and Austin Love were being held without bond, according to jail records.

A Grovetown woman accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy also was indicted. Ashley Leigh Wood, 36, was indicted on aggravated child molestation.

Wood, who was a baby sitter for a Grovetown family that included young children and a 14-year-old boy, is accused of offering and providing oral sex to the teen Jan. 24

dear sir,

you situation could have turned out very badly for you had the thugs, animals, chimps, criminals, or just plain wastes of human beings would have been harden thugs/criminals. a word of warning and friendly advice.....NEVER TAKE YOU GUN OUT UNLESS YOU INTEND TO USE IT, IT IS NOT MEANT TO SCARE ANYONE, ONLY TO ELIMINATE A THREAT TO LIFE, LIMB, AND PROPERTY. when you took your gun out and they RUSHED you at that point you should have been firing at them....the new GA law would have protected you from prosecution because you are protecting your property and then were attacked (a few dead would have also saved the taxpayer dollars prosecuting them-better a paupers funeral than taxpayers paying for court costs, cost to feed, clothe, and house them ).....glad you was not hurt or injured and some or all of them were caught.
