Aiken police seek man who fled custody

Aiken Public Safety is searching for a man who escaped Friday from officers after being caught in connection with weapon and drug charges.

According to a Tuesday news release, Marrio Sherard Parker, 33, of Aiken, had been stopped for speeding on Whiskey Road when an officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers also discovered a pistol under the seat.

While escorting Parker to the patrol vehicle, he was able to escape and run away.

Anyone with information on Parker is asked to contact Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 888-CRIME-SC.

Article does not say, but if he was NOT, I bet Barney doesn't let that happen again. According to the report I heard, he is already armed again. Do NOT let him get away a second time. Shoot him in the posterior, if you need to slow him down some...Just sayin' His rear-end scar will be great conversation point in prison.
