The arraignment of an Augusta man indicted on charges of murder and a weapon violation was postponed Friday as authorities continued their hunt for him.

Christopher G. Smith, 25, has an outstanding grand jury arrest warrant that has not been served. Police have been looking for Smith for more than a year.

The Richmond County grand jury indicted Smith last month. He is accused in the Jan. 14, 2012, shooting of 24-year-old Doniel Jamal Hicks outside River Glen apartments.

Why try? If they ever catch him for the arraignment some ding dong judge will probably let him back out on bail.
