The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that wounded a man about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Fox Den apartments.

According to a release from Sgt. Michael McDaniel, deputies responding to the call found a 20-year-old man with a single gunshot wound to the inner thigh in the 200 block of Fox Trace Drive.

The man was transported to Doctors Hospital, and no information about the shooter’s identity was available Thursday, McDaniel said.

The crime-ridden apartment complex off Jackson Road was the site of Operation Fox Hunt, an undercover sting operation conducted by the sheriff’s office last year, and was the scene of the Feb. 1 officer-involved shooting death of Chaz Devell Williams.

More leg shooting. Leg shooting?

Upper thigh area? Motive? Poor aiming? maybe it is the gangsta "side saddle technique of aiming"?

That appears to be a timely press release by the RCSO very soon after the incident.

Here we go again

Another Leg Shooter.

Has Fox Den become the New Cherry Tree for Augusta?

Will it be allowed to spread out pass North Leg towards the Mall areas?

There is crime right IN the Mall area, just like everywhere else. No demographic area is immune.

i will say first that i am

i will say first that i am sorry that chaz williams is dead. he was a THUG!!! i served with him in iraq. he was a terrible soldier. everytime he got in trouble...the accuser was a racist. black white....whatever....he was at 6 different camps in a 7 month tour. he threaten me about 6 times. i also happened to be black. but since i was trying to do the correct thing....i was "against" him. i told his CO and the XO that that guy was going to end up in jail soon after he got back from iraq. he did...distribution of cocaine.

i feel bad for the guy. he had an excellent chance in the military because of the job they gave him. he did not take the job seriously. he would show up late. he would sleep on the job and he would leave early. like i said before...if anyone complained about hm...they were automaticly a racist. nothing was every "his" fault.

1 more time. i am sorry that kid is dead, but he brought it on himself. he wanted to be a thug. i wanted to be a thug before...the army changed that. he BROUGHT it on HIMSELF!!!!
