Police are investigating after an Augusta man was robbed at gunpoint at Coin Laundry, 3216 Wrightsboro Road, on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a police report, Kyle Evans, 35, of Kissingbower Road, was exiting his car at the business around 3:40 p.m. when two black men approached and asked for change for a $20 bill.

Evans turned back to his vehicle, then glanced back to see one of the men pull a handgun, he told police. The men demanded everything he had, then ran off with $50.

A witness confirmed Evans’ story but said she did not see a weapon.
