2 Aiken men arrested in Aiken holdup

Aiken police have arrested two Aiken men in connection with the armed robbery of a business Tuesday morning.

According to a news release, a local businessman notified Aiken Public Safety of two suspicious men near Quick Cash, 1114 Richland Ave., around 10:40 a.m. The caller told police the men had crossed the street and entered the store. Soon after, police received a call saying the business had been robbed.

Police said the men demanded cash at gunpoint. After receiving it, they fled in a Dodge pickup.

Police have charged Carlos Demetrius Williams, 21, and Jamaques Deundray Salley, 23, with armed robbery. More arrests are expected.
