Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Calvin Chew said deputies were called to Knight’s Inn, 210 Boy Scout Road, about 10 a.m. Monday in reference to a suspicious situation.

Deputies discovered Terry Paige Hufton and Jessica Elaine Parsons in Room 239 along with items used for the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Both were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. Hufton also faces a charge of obstruction of a law enforcement officer after he tried to run from deputies.

Parsons was also charged with possession of marijuana.
