  • Follow Crime & courts

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is seeking an Augusta man on charges that he didn’t register as a sex offender.

Victor Montrez Buggs, 23, did not report his change of address as required by state law, authorities said. His last address was 2907 Heartwood St., and Buggs is known to frequent the Fairington subdivision off Tobacco Road, a news release said.

According to Richmond County Superior Court records, Buggs pleaded guilty to felony child molestation in 2007 and received probation.

Anyone with information concerning Buggs is asked to call sheriff’s Sgt. Ronald Sylvester or any violent crimes investigator at (706) 821-1456 or (706) 821-1020.
