Columbia County authorities are looking for men they say robbed a convenience store near Interstate 20 at gunpoint Saturday and an Augusta store two days before.

About 10:30 p.m., two men walked into the Fuel Express at 4086 Jimmie Dyess Parkway in Grovetown, drew semi-automatic pistols and demanded money from the cashier, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office incident report. The cashier gave the robbers an undisclosed amount of cash and they left through the front doors and ran around the side of the building.

The robbers were described as black men wearing camouflage jackets and dark pants, hats and shoes, according to the report.

One of the robbers is believed to have been involved in the armed robbery of the BP station at 2061 Gordon Highway in Augusta on Thursday.

Anyone with information about the men’s identities or whereabouts should call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 541-2800.
