A Pizza Hut employee was robbed Saturday night while he was delivering pizzas.

Police said the employee was in the 3700 block of Old McDuffie Road about 9:15 p.m. when four men wearing camouflage and ski masks ran from a residence and took his money and pizzas. The robbers had a handgun and a shotgun.

Police said the residence apparently was vacant.

The robbers then ran toward Dublin Drive.

Armed guards needed for pizza employees

Pizza delivery employees have become the number one soft target for these armed robbery cowards. It is now the duty and responsibility of pizza business owners and employers to provide security for their vulnerable delivery employees. Common sense dictates that this security should be provided by guards heavily armed with shotguns and large caliber semiautomatic pistols with high-capacity magazines. If these pizza robbery teams continue to operate in 4-man groups, it would make sense to arm half of the pizza delivery guard team members with semiautomatic defense rifles with fully loaded high-capacity magazines. It should be remembered that when only SECONDS count, the Sheriff's deputies are still MINUTES away and it is inevitable that if these robberies continue vulnerable pizza delivery employees will suffer from violent, brutal attacks by these armed robbers.

Simple solution. Pizza places
Unpublished

Simple solution. Pizza places already charge a delivery fee...start requiring a payment via cc/debit over the phone prior to delivery and boom....a kinda solution. You want to pay cash, go and get your pizza. Now what exactly would the theives have to steal, paid pizza? Food for thought!

Vacant Houses

Augusta Election Superintendent Lynn Bailey is going to identify every vacant house in Augusta so nobody can vote from there. If she would put her database on-line so the pizza restaurants could cross-reference it, they could easily know where the vacant houses are and refuse to deliver pizzas there.
