An Ohio truck driver told Richmond County sheriff’s deputies that he was robbed Monday morning while waiting to drop off a load at a place on New Savannah Road.
According to an incident report, the 51-year-old man was waiting on a business at 1219 New Savannah Road to open when he was approached about 4 a.m. by a man who asked directions. After the victim explained he wasn’t from the area, the man pulled a revolver and instructed him to hand over his money.
Police said the victim handed over $20. The gunman was last seen running away.
I was mugged also, as was anyone who collects a paycheck. While the democrats and their made up fiscal cliff dominated the news, the Bush era tax cuts, which were only extended for the election, we allowed to expire.
Too bad the "suspect" wasn't found face down with a "bullet hole" in his back.
I'm sorry for this working man from another state; but, let's face it, almost every place around here is unsafe at 4:00 a.m.
