Two Best Buy employees say they were assaulted Thursday after confronting a customer in the men’s restroom of the store.

According to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report, several employees entered the restroom shortly before 1 p.m. to confront a customer in a stall who was attempting to cut store merchandise out of its packaging.

Police said the man charged the employees standing in the doorway. One of the employees told police he was either elbowed or punched in the chest as the customer fled.

The customer then ran into the store and hit another employee in the rib cage with his shoulder. He drove away in a black Lincoln Navigator.

Police said employees found two Xbox 360 video games in a toilet bowl.

A better description of the criminal would be appreciated. Time to put security tag monitors in the bathroom areas. Sad, but this is the current state we are in.

Add another policy.

You take it with you to the potty. You pay for it. I do not want to own something that's crossed the threshold of a public men's room.

Anyone can drive anything for $0 down and $1.00 per month, so it's not necessarily an indication of wealth.

He probably makes a decent

He probably makes a decent living stealing out of stores, maybe doing a burglary or two a week and selling the stuff on the streets. Even when caught they get a weak probation fine and $5 a month or less restitution. Low overhead, high profit, easy money.

Public restrooms are unsafe

In addition to people taking merchandise into stalls in restrooms, perverts are also going into restrooms and looking through the doors small openings. A relative (male) has had this happen twice within the last 6 months at local service stations. Please do no let your young boys and girls go to the restrooms alone. Also, I attend a large church in the area and homeless people come in during service to go to the restroom and often get past the ushers. I see so many children parading up and down the aisle all during service in and out of the restroom with no parent. Parents take your children to the restroom before they leave home and if they get the call while away from home, please accompany them to the facilities, we are living in desperate times.
