Editor's note: Because of incorrect information provided to The Chronicle, the location of the home police were called to was incorrect in an earlier version of this story. The home was in the 3000 block of Storey Drive, not Story Drive.

Three teens are facing charges after police discovered them Monday at the rear of a home on Storey Drive next to a pile of guns.

Police were called to the home in the 3000 block of Storey Drive about 10 a.m. for a burglary and discovered the teens near the wood line next to “a pile of long guns and rifles,” according to an incident report.

The officer drew his weapon and told the teens to get to the ground, but all ran away.

After being chased, the suspects were caught. One was found hiding under a trailer on Sibley Road.

Michael Alonzo Cooper, 17, of Gordon Highway, was booked into the Richmond County jail on charges of first-degree burglary. Two juvenile suspects, 15 and 16, also were charged.

The stolen items include three 12-gauge shotguns, a 20-gauge shotgun, a .22-caliber pistol, a pellet rifle, a .50-caliber muzzleloader, boxes of bullets and a welding machine.

well the mothers of the three are probably spending their "obama" money at CITI TRENDS aisle 4 halfway back in the "courtroom/jail/funeral" outfit section looking for the proper courtroom attire when they take the stand in defense of their children to say: "eyes bees dont-ted no why he-be-did do dat stole from dat house, my child is be-did a good-did boy, hees just be-did dat sho nuf did get-tid caught up-did wit dee wrong-did crowd, it was racism dat-did cause him did do by to try to break-did in dat house and stole-did dem guns"

OK almost 5 hours - no update

I fully understand the AC rules to protect against liability and only printing what is in the police report. (e.g. Monday article of 3 idiots burglarizing a Mission at 8AM Sunday vs. after dark at 8PM as later verified by other media)

In this case
Try using the same block # provided but on
StorEy DR., Augusta. GA.

Very doubtful it was Ft. Gordon's Story drive located in Gordon Terrace.

@OpenCurtain

You are correct. We have changed the street name in the story and in the map.
I think the reporter checked and was told the time in the other story was correct. I'll ask her again.

@OpenCurtain

Bianca checked with the Sheriff's Office and the correct time is 8am. Some criminals wake up early. As a matter of fact, my house was robbed during the day once.

Their warrants were issued around noon Sunday, (1st clue I am wrong)

Webster Jail in processing before 6pm. (2nd and final clue I am wrong)

Yes! they were that dumb.
They burglarized the Mercy Mission around 8AM about the time a lot of good citizens were up and getting ready for church.

Facts are important and when I am wrong I admit it.
