Police were called to J.R.’s Stop and Shop convenience store, 1957 Martin Luther King Blvd., about 8:30 p.m. where the store owner and six customers, who ranged in age from 44 to 80, said they were forced at gunpoint to remove and hand over their pants, jewelry and money. The store owner was also ordered to hand over money from the register.

One of the three suspects told the victims, “Don’t make me make this a homicide,” according to an incident report.

The robbers left in two of the victims’ vehicles. Police located both vehicles soon after with the men’s pants inside.

During the investigation, police identified Elmonte Surry, 20, of the 3200 block of Kevin Drive; Xavius Bell, 21, of the 1500 block of Holley Drive; and James Robinson, 18, of the 3500 block of Cornwall Street, as suspects in the case.

All face charges of four counts of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Robinson was found and booked into the Richmond County jail on Thursday. Police continue to search for Surry and Bell.

Anyone with information on the remaining suspects is asked to contact the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1020 or (706) 821-1080.

Need to look at the police

If they arrived at 8:3 and demanded the owner and customers hand over their pants. also, the thieves left in two vehicles but the police located "the vehicle". Needs a little rewrite.

Good police work; though I

Good police work; though I would have preferred one of the victims impose the death penalty. That is the only language these thugs and thieves understand.
