Aiken investigators say they’ve caught a man involved in a string of burglaries around downtown Aiken.

Tremayne Deshawn Crawford, 22, of Aiken was charged with first degree burglary after investigators found him hiding in the attic of a Abbeville Avenue home about 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release from Aiken Public Safety Lt. Jeremy Hembree.

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation by eight different agencies, the release said.
