Murder trial begins for Augusta crime spree suspect

A trial began Monday for one of three young Augusta men facing charges of murder, rape, assault and armed robberies in a 2010 crime spree.

Hector Torres, 19, was still in high school when he was arrested. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges in Richmond County Superior Court. His trial is expected to take several days.

Torres; Hamlet H. Perdomo, 25; and Michael Rewis, 21; are accused of killing 56-year-old Carl Bush Sr. on Sept. 11, 2010, on Reynolds Street in downtown Augusta.

Additional charges including rape, assault and robbery were filed in connection with other crime victims.

Trial for murder in 2010

High time - MORE than high time - they've been on the taxpayers' dole long enough - get rid of this trash - the sooner the better. Scum like that does not deserve the jail luxury they have been living in.
