Woman arrested for harassing, taunting neighbor

Tina Marie Wishman, 48, of Appling, was arrested for disorderly conduct early Sunday.

An Appling woman was arrested early Sunday after she harassed a neighbor by phone, then taunted her, according to authorities.

Tina Marie Wishman, 48, of the 3600 block of Johns Road, was charged with disorderly conduct.

Wishman called the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department at 1:15 a.m. about harassing phone calls from a neighbor. While en route, the responding deputy got a call from the neighbor about harassing phone calls from Wishman, according to an incident report.

Wishman complained about her neighbor’s grown children and dogs. She was intoxicated and her speech was slurred, according to the report.

When asked about the phone calls, Wishman handed the deputy her phone, which showed messages from her neighbor. The deputy also saw that Wishman started the texting with a message to her neighbor that included curse words.

The deputy warned Wishman at 1:45 a.m. not to contact her neighbor again or she could go to jail and Wishman agreed.

The deputy went to Wishman’s neighbor’s home. The neighbor said Wishman called her five times and left one vulgar message. The neighbor also said Wishman violated a Good Behavior Order that states Wishman is not to have any contact with her neighbor and can’t drink alcohol, according to the report.

While the deputy was at the neighbor’s home, Wishman called again at 1:53 a.m. Wishman’s neighbor called the deputy back to her home at 2:20 a.m. and saw on her phone call log that she’d received two calls from Wishman since he left, according to the report. Wishman also left another vulgar message taunting her neighbor about not being arrested.

The deputy arrested Wishman and took her to the Columbia County Detention Center. She was released later Sunday after posting a $500 bond, according to jailers.
