Seven men were robbed and forced to take off their pants by crooks who held up a Martin Luther King Boulevard convenience store last weekend.

Three men – one who was masked and armed – entered J.R.’s Stop and Shop, 1957 Martin Luther King Boulevard, about 8:30 p.m. Saturday and demanded that the business owner and six customers remove and hand over their pants, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The gunman told the victims, “Don’t make me make this a homicide,” according to the report.

He then told the victims, who ranged in age from 44 to 80, to hand over their jewelry and money and made the store owner empty the register.

The robbers left in two of the victims’ cars, a 1998 Lincoln Town Car and a 1993 Buick Century, making off with nearly $3,500, cell phones, and various pieces of jewelry.

Police found the cars shortly after the robbery was reported. The Buick was found on Dunns Lane. The Lincoln was found at the intersection of Swanee Quintet Boulevard and Steiner Avenue, with all of the victims’ pants inside. The pants were returned to the owners, according to the report.

No one had been arrested as of Monday.

We would not have this Pants problem

if there were Equal Pants Distribution.

I feel those that have more pants than others should have a Value Added Pants Tax. If they own 10 or more pair they should have to turn over 6 pair to the Government for redistribution of Pants.

It is so fun applying liberal socialism equally across other topics.

It was written:"If one of them had a legal gun in those pants; maybe one or both perps would be taking a well deserved celestial eternal dirt nap."

...Unless it had been the 80 year old, then the police would have found a bloodbath. In fact, if any of the store patrons had been armed it would have ended badly for many of the innocents. I can't imagine a civilian trying to pull a gun out of their pocket while being held at gunpoint by armed robbers and it ending well. Thankfully, all the shoppers are home today, fully clothed and with their loved ones eating pork, blackeyed peas, greens and able to watch the UGA Nebraska game.

I guess for Bantana it's "all's well that ends well." Enjoy your blackeyed peas, Bantana. Never mind the trauma. Never mind the lawlessness.

So many jokes about others

So many jokes about others misfortunes. Would it still be funny if that was you or your loved one having a gun pointed at them and being made to strip and being humiliated?

and for the comment about citizens being armed, if two of the citizens were armed, there would have been a shootout, with casualities. what if there were non-armed people around, like little kids?

Well, i guess they would be ok, i mean kids dont get hit by stray bullets from random shootouts do they?

"and for the comment about citizens being armed....

There "would have been," eh? How on earth do you KNOW that? Or did you just make it up?

"what if there were non-armed people around, like little kids?"

I imagine the "little kids" would be "non-armed" IF they were around. Not even liberals arm their little kids. And what IF they were around? Since we're making things up, lets color them safe and out of the way.

My remarks were not intended to diminish the victim's possible trauma, but rather to surmise how the outcome may have been different if some self-appointed and, quite likely, poorly trained abitor of public safety had started a gun battle. My meaning was to say that thankfully, no blood was shed and the crime victims are home today safe, hopefully warm and well fed. Leave the crime fighting to those that are trained and paid to do so. I personally have done quite well without moving around in public, strapped and ready to dispense some angry street justice. And in conclusion...Go Dawgs.

"I just have to wonder why Bantana...

That's easy.....it fits his agenda.

It wouldn't fit for the person carrying a concealed weapon to be alert, sober, and well trained.

So he makes up the story that best suits his agenda.

Fishy

$3500 hundred dollars in hole in the wall convience store robbery? Investigate the store and I bet you find something else going on that made this place a good target. Most convience stores don't keep a lot of money out of the safe. Drive by the place and ask yourself if the place would have that kind of money in the register. Next ask yourself why do the patrons have so much money on them? Again fishy.
