Police are searching for an armed robber after he held up Church’s Chicken at 901 Laney Walker Blvd., and got away with cash Friday night.

Around 9 p.m., deputies responded to the restaurant where witnesses told them a black man wearing a black sweatshirt and with a white t-shirt tied over his face brandished a pistol and got away with cash from the register.

He was last seen running east on Laney Walker.

This is sacrilege. Have they

This is sacrilege. Have they no loyalty? You don't see white guys knocking off sushi joints? If you can't be safe in a Church's Chicken on Laney Walker then there is no safe place left in Richmond County. It's just getting clucking unsafe out there.

That was funny ya'll, except

That was funny ya'll, except for the fact that it's all too true. While shopping at Surrey yesterday, I just couldn't make myself go into the chicken restaurant on the corner of Berkman/Wheeler Rd. for a quick lunch.

Crime is not funny

I guess this is a joke because nobody died. I am shocked at the jokes about this crime. He had a gun, it probably had bullets, would you want to be the worker with a gun in his/her face?

Pretty soon we will not have restaurants in certain neighborhoods...and that is not funny.

All African-Americans do not support or think criminal behavior in their neighborhood is funny or a joke.

No, it's no joke.

But humor is a very normal and therapeutic way bad situations can be dealt with.

You know you're a lowlife

You know you're a lowlife when you stick up Church's Fried Chicken. Some people have no pride.

OK it is not a joke, but it is a joke

But we see it so much we have Acronyms for these things

ADS = Another Downtown Shooting
ADR = ----------- Robbery
BOB = Black on Black
BOW =
WOW =
WOB =
ADBS = Another drive by shooting
LS = Leg Shooter
BMD = Baby Mama Drama

then there are the Auto Reply #'s to these.

On and On ... it is getting old.

Given the area and the few locally well known and frequent troublemakers that live there. We even joke that it was witnessed by dozens but no one saw anything.

So no, it is NOT a Joke, but it is a joke.

The White community can't clean it up, they are looked at as THOSE OUTSIDERS.

It is something that needs a Local Community Champion or Group of #,### Men & Women that are willing to do it.

SO who will carry the flame?

Do I hear Silence again, or is someone seriously going to stand up and do more than make some speeches.
