HINESVILLE, Ga. — Authorities say a 30-year-old man is facing charges of DUI and drag racing after plowing into a house early Tuesday morning.
WTOC-TV reports Garvari Dixon-Lewis, of Hinesville, was racing a second driver — identified as Howard Craig — when he tried rounding a curve, lost control of the vehicle and crashed through the living room of a house.
There were no reported injuries. Authorities say Craig was also cited for drag racing in the Christmas morning crash.
Hinesville is about 40 miles southwest of Savannah in Liberty County.

Drag racing is a sanctioned sport, with rules rewarding actual skill and punishing cheaters. I wish that this sort of juvenile idiocy was not falsely equated with that sport.
The street clowns don't as a rule fare well at drag races.Fair races with cars in the same class spoils the ambush contests they engage in.
