Lt. Blaise Dresser said it’s possible the man is the same person who robbed the station twice in November. All three robberies share common characteristics.
Police said the man entered Kangaroo, 3011 Washington Road, shortly before 7 p.m. and demanded money from the register. The man did not display a weapon but the clerk told investigators that he said he had one.
The bandit is described as a black man, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, and wearing gray sweatpants with a white long-sleeve shirt underneath a black short-sleeve shirt. He had long hair, but police said it appears to be a wig.
Police said surveillance video showed a suspect who exhibited effeminate characteristics.
