Six toolboxes stolen from county vehicles were recovered Monday at an Augusta recycling center.

According to an incident report, police were called to Augusta Utilities, 360 Bay St., on Monday morning after an employee discovered toolboxes had been removed from pickups left in the parking lot over the weekend. Police said the tools had been removed from the toolboxes and left in a rear parking lot and behind a nearby vacant residence.

Investigator Kendall Brown said the items were recovered from a recycling center shortly after the report was filed. Brown said there is a suspect in the case but an arrest has not been made.
