Police searching for armed robber

Richmond County sheriff’s deputies are searching for an armed robber who wielded a gun inside Fred’s Store at 2872 Tobacco Road on Saturday night, authorities said.

Police were called about 8:15 p.m. and were told the gunman had ran across Tobacco Road and into the woods, police said.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing all black with a black skull cap and a white T-shirt tied over his mouth.

I see banks and some stores that care about their shoppers. They pay for a off duty officer to work the parking lot and roam around inside and out.

But I see many more locations that don't also.

If a Shopping center hired 2 off duty deputies to patrol the large parking lot. The cost divided across the number stores drops to chicken feed.

An the Purchase Sales go up, because shoppers feel safer.
