Police are searching for two men who robbed the Waffle House off Tobacco Road on Thursday morning.

Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Blaise Dresser said the men – one of whom was armed – entered the restaurant at 103 Talbot Drive about 2 a.m. and demanded money.

The armed man fired a shot into a padlocked door of an office in the restaurant in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry, police said.

The men ran away with money from the cash register.

Robbery where

Tobacco Road runs from Ft Gordon gate 5 to the Airport and so either the map is wrong or the waffle house is not located off tobacco road. There is a new waffle house off tobacco road but not near where the map shows the location. Is this a crime that if the robbers are young that the new sheriff policy will be not to arrest but to give counseling to.

@ seenit and pooh2boo

It does look like the map is wrong. As far as I can tell the location is very near the intersection of Windsor Spring and Tobacco Rds. The Waffle House is in a new building and isn't showing up on standard internet searches. I will get the map fixed or removed soon.
Thanks

JggrNAUT.......the article

JggrNAUT.......the article orginally said "Hispanic males". I'd say that was ethnic. I guess either the AC decided to go PC or they may have gotten updated info.

Still a bunch of excuses

Still a bunch of excuses JggrNAUT. People expect too much to be given to them instead of EARNED. I don't like the idea of 2nd chances when it comes to everything criminal these days....how about REDEMPTION - is that more Christian-like for you?

An answer for trujustis

I have to agree with you for what's been happening in the country regarding the decline of American culture. But I believe the anwer lies in the Christian believer. Yes there have been moral declines, but the answer is in being the example we as Christians are called to be. Where sin abounds Grace much more abounds and the people out there that need to know Christ in order for things to turn around cannot change unless we as the Church do the work.

The Lord's prayer asks for His will to be done on Earth as is in Heaven. If we as the Church will allow His will to be done in our lives, we can affect those that need Him most to start the change........
