Man shot in toe found at River Glen Apartments

A man was shot in the toe near River Glen Apartments on Tuesday night.

Police were called to 201 East Telfair St. about 6:40 p.m. Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the toe at the apartment complex, Richmond County sheriff’s Capt. Scott Gay said.

The shooting happened outside the complex and the victim ran there, Gay said.

The shooter was described as a black man wearing black pants, a red shirt and a gray hat, last seen running toward the IGA off East Boundary Street.
