Richmond County sheriff's deputies investigate shooting at Pak-N-Go convenience store on Olive Road

A black man in his 20s entered the Pak-N-Go in the 1600 block of Olive Road about 2:30 p.m. and shot Richard Mills, 19, of the 2000 block of Jordan Drive, at least three times in the legs and chest, Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Blaise Dresser said in an e-mail.

Mills was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, where he was rushed into surgery. His condition was not available Friday night.

Dresser said police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the witness and the shooter.

Sgt. Jason Vinson said it was clear the shooter had targeted Mills because other people in the store were not harmed.

The gunman was wearing dark pants and a charcoal gray sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head. Police were able to get video from the store’s surveillance cameras.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (706) 821-1080.

Mr. Reese had a grocery store

just outside that nice development. Wonder what happened to the neighborhood. The expansion of the CBD into Richmond County, perhaps? A classic history that few remember and most do not want to remember. Albion Acres, Avera Meat Packing, The Moose Club, The Skyview Drive In Theater, The Cricket Farm, Brighams Grocery, The What-A-Burger, The Dairy Queen, Rexall Drug Store,

Just say it don't beat around the bush.

OK, I will say it.
Another BOB shooting.

When are the leaders of the black community going address the biggest problem facing the black community, themselves?

It is not a cause that will garner votes, or bring in big donations, or even make good media news bites. But it would save 1000's of lives a year in the black community.

For Years CDC report have been saying that homicide is the:
* the leading cause of any type of death among black men aged 15-34 years. (for 3 age categories!)
* the second leading cause of any type of death for black women aged 15-24 years.

Is it not time to do something in the community for the community? Instead of playing politics for power?

BTW: Just say it,
instead of beating around the bush at it.
"The gunman was wearing dark pants and a charcoal gray sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head..."

The word is "Hoodi", a exercise or workout jacket with a Hood
Unless the PC censors have banned that word also, since Trayvon Martin.

Some background

On the victim:

He loves to carry weapons and has had several major criminal issues just this year.

There is very likely a Pay Back angle to this shooting.

OpenCurtain you know it is

OpenCurtain you know it is payback. Look at the area where it happened. Full of drugs, welfare and section 8 people. And since you mentioned Trayvon Martin, have you heard the whole conversation between the neighborhood watch and Mr. Zimmermon before Mr. Martin was shot. It was redacted to make it sound different than it was by NBC. What everybody heard was not what was really said.

3rd event

This number 3 of a string of non-fatal shootings in the Olive Road area very similar in that the victims are shot in the legs. I might need to apply for a job as an investigator with RCSO. Or maybe they have picked up on it as well.

And some

communities are full of "righteous indignation" when a white person says "there goes the neighborhood".
