Authorities seek man accused of threatening girlfriend

Richmond County investigators are asking for help in finding a 41-year-old man suspected of holding a pistol to his girlfriend’s head and a machete to her throat during an argument Thursday.

Police said the victim was able to escape and call police but the suspect, Tony Timpson, was gone when police arrived at the home.

Timpson faces charges of terroristic threats and acts, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Timpson is believed to be hiding in the Harrisburg area.
