Charles Mealer, 51, told deputies he was invited by his friend to hang out in room 331 at the Masters Inn, 3027 Washington Road. As he was walked up the stairs toward the room, a man approached him and said, “You know what’s up,” according to the report.

Mealer said he was grabbed from behind by another man, but was able to pull away and run. As he fled, one of the assailants snatched his cell phone from his belt, the report said.

Mealer was unable to give any information on the female, the report said.
