THOMSON — A second arrest has been made in the Thanksgiving Day slaying of Kenneth Seek Jr. in McDuffie County.

Rondoe James Hutson, of the 1200 block of Ginger Hill Road, Thomson, was taken into custody Friday, authorities said Monday.

The 43-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by Richmond County sheriff’s deputies and Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents.

Hutson was taken to McDuffie County Jail and has been charged with murder. The investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected, authorities said.

Hutson and another man arrested in the killing, James Ethiredge McGuyton, are being held without bond.

McDuffie County Coroner Rusha Mack said last week that Seek appeared to have at least one gunshot wound.

Authorities will not speculate what the shooting was about.
