A woman was shot in the leg in front of her house in the 2100 block of Shirley Avenue on Friday night, authorities said.
About 8:45 p.m., police were were the victim had been taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in a car with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police were told by witnesses that the suspect fled east toward Olive Road in a burgundy car.
At the hospital, the victim refused to help police and said she did not want to press charges.
That's right - let the shooter go - so he/she can do it again, next time it may be fatal. What a society!

I am not against people owning a gun or rifle, but it is starting to get to a point that most people would be better off owning a hunting weapon. The reason behind this idea is then we could promote hunting in our community as well as educate people about the art of hunting their own meats for the dinner table.
This would possibly give these idle individuals something to fill that void of wanting to shoot another human.

Out of 4000+/- recorded shootings where both the shooter and victim as clearly known.
3650+/- where Black on Black.
350+/- blacks were killed by whites or Hispanics.
But we should not jump to the conclusion it was even criminal related. It could have been something as innocuous as some dumb young petty punk learning how to hand a new pistol and accidentally shot his baby mama, while showing off.

Numerically 1 for 1 - Whites tend to shoot more whites than blacks. But when adjusted for national racial percentages. (approx. 60-W/24-B/16-O) Black on Black Shootings are many times more likely than white on white.

NOTE: The FBI, for some reason has stop tracking race on race based correlation between criminals and victims. You would have to ask DOJ AG Eric Holder why the change.
Summary: A Black-American is more likely to be a victim of a shooting by a Black-American, than a White-American is to be a victim of a shooting by a White-American. Rev. Jesse (JJ) even has complained in his speeches as to the fact.
Hence the reason we use BOB vs. WOW!

Thank you, OpenCurtain. The point is that criminal offending and victimization is over-whelmingly intra-racial. That's why I found the 12:15 comment by Rebellious to be rather repugnant.

Forty-five percent of black crime is against whites, 43 against other blacks, and 10 percent against Hispanic." Shouldn't there by an outcry about THAT by the media? If not, why not?
In answer to your question directed to me, I suspect, and openly admit I have no statistics to back up the suspicion, that white people shoot criminals when they are forced to shoot another human being. Now the question becomes what ethnic persuasion are a majority of criminals? Therein lies the problem. I guess if a Black is caught in the act of breaking a law, a white person could go seek out a white person to shoot, but I fail to see the deterrent or self protection value of such a course of action.
Oh and pay no attention to the facts presented by OC. I always say "Never let facts get in the way of an emotional argument".
And as to the repugnace (now there is a word that when spoken sounds like what the definition implies) of my comment, I am abit confused. Do you applaud B on B crime? Or perhaps you find it less than shameful. Or maybe you don't believe this was a B on B crime?

rebellious, the majority of criminals are classified as white (UCR arrest statistics). But, like you said, you don't have any stats to back up your observations....and the beat goes on.
This conversation has just begun to nibble around the edges of a problem that needs a complete airing. Unfortunately, as soon as you do, the debate gets shut down.
I guess that explains why the jail population is majority black. Oh and you need to tell Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson this statistic, as it seem they have missed it. "Keepin it real"

Could the reason for not telling, be that someone is married or supposedly in a "committed" relationship? How about they were close friends and someone betrayed the other friend? Yeah, this is Not a criminal who-dun-it, this is of a personal nature. This, and the guy that was shot in both legs.........................Good thing the big artery was not hit on either person, they could have bled to death!!
