Kind of foolish

to drive a stolen car around for a few days.

The local chop shops must be closed for the holiday, or he hasn't rob something he has plans for yet.

I had a friend who had a car

I had a friend who had a car stolen and 2 years later he saw it at a redlight and followed it. Called the Police and sure enough it was his car, registered and insured by the thief. Seems the tag office and the Police deptartments don't have their systems linked to show stolen cars. I do believe the law has changed somewhat, making it harder now.
