North Augusta investigators are asking for assistance in their search for a person who broke into several vehicles Friday evening.

A black male driving a white SUV was seen on residential surveillance video committing the acts around 10 p.m. in the Waccamaw and Brookgreen area on West Martintown Road.

Police said the SUV may have some minor damage to the back or side from backing over a mailbox on Socastee Drive.

Anyone with information is asked to call the North Augusta Department of Public Safety at (803) 279-2121.

Car break ins

How low down can you get - you - the person in the SUV - shame on you - earn your living the honest way - even if it means cleaning out the animal pens at the shelter. They mean more to me than trash like you. Get straight and be a decent human being.
