North Augusta officers are searching for five men in an armed robbery and shooting that left a 30-year-old with a gunshot wound in the foot.

Police were called to the 100 block of Chalet North Court, off Bradleyville Road, about 9 p.m. Friday where they found Darryl Trotty Jr., with a gunshot wound.

Trotty told officers that he and his uncle were standing outside when five men in camouflage coats and masks approached with pistols and demanded money. Witnesses told officers that Trotty was assaulted before shots were fired.

The unknown men fled with an undisclosed amount of money from both victims. Trotty was the only person wounded in the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call North Augusta Department of Public Safety Detective Chris Toole at (803) 441-4217.

One of the

places in North Augusta I avoid. In fact the Bradleyville road area is the same way.
