Police are investigating an armed robbery at White House Cleaners off River Watch Parkway Monday evening, authorities said.
At 7 p.m., Richmond County Sheriff’s deputies were called to 2021 Westside Drive in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival the clerk told police she was struck in the head and the robber got away with cash from the till, police said. The clerk was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
A suspect was described as a young black man wearing a blue striped shirt.
