Richmond County Sheriff’s deputies were searching Sunday for a burglar who stole $400 worth of Scott paper towels after breaking the padlock of a USA Truck on Mike Padgett Highway.

A police report said Kellen R. Beeler, 24, called deputies at 10 a.m. Sunday when he discovered the lock broken and eight cases of paper towels missing from the truck. Beeler said the last time he has been in the truck was 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Nothing else was taken from the truck, the report said.
