Police seek help finding bank robbery suspect

The Aiken Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help in locating a bank robbery suspect.

Police have issued warrants for two counts of bank robbery for Clarence Junior Green, 32. Green is suspected in robberies at the South Carolina Sate Credit Union on Beaufort Street in Aiken on Sept. 21 and Nov. 13, Sgt. Jake Mahoney said in a news release.

Green is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 240 pounds. Mohoney said he is known to loiter at area motels.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Aiken Department of Public Safety at (803) 642-7620 or Crimestoppers at (888) CRIME-SC. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
