Two teens are in custody after burglaries in Breeze Hill on Tuesday, and police said one of the teens was at school with a stolen weapon and drugs in his pockets.

Police were investigating a burglary Tuesday at a residences on Nells Court in the Breeze Hill subdivision off Glenn Hills Drive when they found their first suspect, Clarence Daniels, 17.

Richmond County sheriff’s Investigator Aaron Hannsz said Daniels confessed to the burglary and gave police information leading to a second suspect.

Daniels was booked into the Richmond County jail on charges of burglary.

Keyon Martin, 17, was found at Glenn Hills High School on Wednesday.

During a pat-down, police found small bags of marijuana and a handgun in
his pocket.

Hannsz said bullets for the weapon were in another pocket.

The weapon was linked to another burglary Tuesday at a home on Balkcom Drive in Breeze Hill.

Martin was booked on charges of two counts of burglary, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, weapon on school property, and possession of a pistol or revolver under the
age of 18.

Hannsz said more arrests are possible.

A weapon, ammo and weed are not on the school supply list. How 'bout a pencil, paper and your thinking cap?

Typical

Typical, another young person off to jail and probably a lifetime in out of jails and/or prisons from "South side". Awesome, more tax dollars out the window. People in this community want to complain about why no businesses want to start there or why they have so much crime or why the rest of Augusta doesn't want anything to do with that side of town?Look at your youth. When they think it's cool to use drugs, commit dangerous crimes, bring guns to school, and get knocked up, then you have to eventually blame yourselves for the copious amounts of urban decay. These kids are products of their hopeless environments because their parents were, and their future children will be as well. It's very sad that these kids have wasted their potential.

Dumb and dumber.......

"Hey man, I just had an idea......let's go rob someone!"

"Dude.....that's awesome! Why didn't I think of that?"

Never understood this knucklehead line of thought. Who in their right mind would even entertain this type of thinking? These kids are completely twisted. Why not just go home and do your homework and then fool around on the computer or something? Who on earth wakes up in the morning and thinks about where their next burglary will be? Sheesh!!

One troubled subdivision does

One troubled subdivision does not make "south Augusta". There are several area within South Augusta that do not reek of criminal activity, drugs, or thugs.........

Breeze Hill is not a troubled

Breeze Hill is not a troubled subdivision at all. That would be either Barton Village, Meadowbrook, Apple Valley, etc but not this neighborhood.

I'd bet they get probation

I'd bet they get probation and restitution, in which they won't do either, and completely get away with it. Just ask the local D.A. how it works.

certain these two fine young men are just chomping at the bit to become Tea Party members. They don't appear to feel "entitled" to anything. Oops, my bad. I thought it was April's Fools Day.

Weed guns & ammo

Yep...just exactly what you need to start High School...NOT!

That might be a good neighborhood but chances are this is the tip of the iceberg.......yep we know why a business doesn't want to build in certain areas of south Augusta.,.....that is the very reason we wanted Freddie as Sheriff.......BUT the voters thought otherwise....soooo let us see how Tree cleans up south Augusta....we will be watching..
