According to a poice report, a man later identified as Curdett Jermain Jackson, 22, approached the 42-year-old man about 1 p.m. at a park on Bohler Avenue and asked for a few dollars. After the victim explained that he had only a few dollars for himself, the stranger left, then returned holding two bricks and demanding the money.
The suspect said that if the bricks didn’t persuade the victim, then he had a gun that would.
The suspect took $17 and walked away dragging a lawn mower behind him, police said.
Jackson was found on Moore Avenue, and the mower was on a porch nearby. He was booked into the Richmond County jail on charges of robbery by intimidation.
