An Augusta business owner said a former employee used the company credit card to charge almost $4,000 for personal expenses, a Richmond County Sheriff’s report said.
At 3 p.m. Friday, Stephen Hoehle, 55, owner of Steve’s Automotive at 1001 Alexander Drive, told investigators that an ex-employee had charged $3,945 over the last few months on his business credit card for personal expenses, including iTunes, T-Mobile and Iron Guard Storage.
The report said Hoehle said he had caught the ex-employee using his card to pay personal bills before, but the man claimed that he had used the card by accident.
The accident was he got caught. Lots-o-nerve, little-brains.....on both ends of this equation.
