At least one person was shot Monday night in Harrisburg, authorities said.

Around 9 p.m., police were called to the 1900 block of Pearl Avenue and found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken by ambulance to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, authorities said.

Deputies said the shooter was described as a black man, dressed in all black. Police used tracking dogs to search for him around Chaffee Park.

Chaffee Park?

Since this park is really now the Kroc Center, why not just say that or is that a no-no.

Progress in Harrisburg
Unpublished

People who care are told to shut up. Activists and others. Only token gestures for photo ops. Relocate the roaches from East Boundary to Harrisburg. Just keep the CBD under control.

You know there is still a City of Augusta. The king is king of the City of Augusta. Remember the quagmire about the naming of the consolidated mess. That mess like all of the other ARC quagmires was by design. Divide and conquer.

Maybe unconsolidated might work. Two departments of public safety. Nope. No tax base for the CBD to finance public safety.

How long will the honest taxpaying citizens

of Richmond County continue to join countyman in the misguided hope that ARC is not on a path to Detroit. Taxpayer loyalty only goes so far. How often will you return to the store that charges you double and gives you an empty bag? And says "come again".

You pay for duplicitous leadership
You pay for non existent government representation
You pay for a legal system that does not enforce the law
You pay for armed guards who do not protect you
You pay for garbage collection that doesn't work
You pay for sewers that do not work
You pay for palaces that only the select can use
You pay for poorly designed public buildings
You pay for non existent maintenance
You pay for ARC vehicles for most of county employees
You pay for a "token" public transit system
You pay for roads and bridges, yea
You pay for education, yea

How many?

Isn't this somewhere around the 2nd shooting at or around the Kroc Center? Didn't a young guy get "shot in the buttocks" (in the words of Forrest Gump) a while back???

The Kroc Center is a large

The Kroc Center is a large complex, and Chaffee Park is a grassy field.

All of the crime in Harrisburg is located near the Kroc Center.

Places like East Augusta and Harrisburg have much different demographics compared to the real downtown. There's around 5 restaurants underway in the CBD, and East Augusta/Harrisburg can't support that.
