An Augusta man is in critical condition after being shot in the neck Tuesday evening.

According to an incident report, Anthony Marquell Reddick, 23, was a backseat passenger in a vehicle traveling on Kensington Drive in Meadowbrook when he was shot.

Other vehicle occupants told investigators they were going to Walmart around 8:15 p.m. when they heard several shots and Reddick was hit by a bullet.

Reddick was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital and was unconscious upon arrival.

Investigators discovered several bullet holes in the 2003 black Ford F-150 and a handgun on the floorboard where Reddick had been sitting.
