A man’s car was stolen after someone asked to buy it, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Just after 3 p.m. Sunday, Charles Bonner, 28, told deputies a man had asked to buy his car earlier on the 2600 block of Barton Chapel Road. After the man left, two other men approached him and demanded his keys at gunpoint.

The men jumped into Bonner’s 1984 Buick and took off south on Massoit Drive, the report said.

Barton Chapel Rd

Is a location that feels dangerous. Just driving down the street you feel uncomfortable. Like there is an accident just waiting to happen.

I never feel uncomfortable by

I never feel uncomfortable by simply riding down the road. There's nothing dangerous about the Breeze Hill neighborhood in the area too.

If you ever stop at the store

across from Barton Village between 4pm and 8pm?
You might change your tune.

Back in the late 67-69's it was mostly GI's from Post. In the 70's many sold and left. In the early 80's we still use to stop and eat lunch at a good little food place on the hill.

Yes I still drive through there now and then to avoid I520 Traffic Jams.

But things have changed, maybe it is the 153 Section 8 houses managed by the housing authority in one area that has something to do with the area. But I am not sure.
