Around 3:30 p.m., police were called to 3615 Wheeler Road in reference to an alarm. A deputy responded and noticed some damage but was unable to enter because of a fence, the report said.
An employee, Susan Lovelace, told officers that the burglars shattered a side window of the business to enter, then pried open the door to the office. Once inside, they pried open the security boxes and took the cash.
The report said Lovelace told officers the thieves left a torque tool, a telescopic magnet and an elastic band from a pair of underwear at the scene.
