According to a Richmond County sheriff’s report, a 16-year-old Butler High School student and Deryk White, 18, a student at Glenn Hills, were apprehended shortly after breaking into the concession stand at Butler and stealing 20 boxes of candy and 24 bottles of Coca-Cola about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Sgt. Paul Godden said deputies had received a tip from someone who witnessed the crime, allowing them to quickly apprehend the suspects.

“It was great they called police,” he said. “If you see something, say something.”

Godden said investigators are looking for a few more people involved in the burglary.

I wonder how much damage

I wonder how much damage these intelligent young men caused. A felony charge for $400.00 worth of candy and cokes? Won't they be the laughing stock in prison? When they get paroled (assuming that they even get prison time), they should be forced to do community service until full restitution is made.

Restitution

Yep, these punks need to pick up trash on the roads or other menial labor, at minimum wage, until every penny of costs associated with this crime are covered.
