Donna Leopard, a teacher at Fox Creek High School, was heading into Walmart on Bobby Jones Expressway about 7:30 a.m., when she noticed a man rushing out. Even though he was heading her direction, she said she assumed he would walk by her. Instead, he walked up to her, groped her, ran to his car and drove off.
“It was really bizarre,” she said. “I’d never heard of that kind of thing before.”
An employee who witnessed the incident asked Leopard whether she knew the man. When she replied she did not, Leopard and the employee found a police officer.
“I asked him if he was looking for a black man in a black shirt, and he said yes,” Leopard said.
The deputy told her someone else had reported being groped inside the store minutes before. When the women met and compared stories, they realized the same thing had happened to each of them.
Leopard said the deputy told her the same man had groped another woman in Walmart in Evans earlier in the morning.
Leopard described the man as clean cut, wearing a black, button-down shirt, nice jeans and dark shoes.
