An Augusta man came home from jail to discover $3,500 in jewelry and other items had been stolen from him, a Richmond County sheriff’s report said.
Jason Lavell Blalock, 33, of the 1700 block of Hicks Street, told deputies Friday afternoon that a thief stole a $1,500 necklace, a $2,000 watch, a Playstation 3 and some games while he was in jail for four weeks.
Authorities noted in the report that he lived with roommates.
Blalock was arrested Aug. 3 for several driving violations, including DUI, according to Richmond County court records.
