ANDERSON, S.C. — Authorities in Anderson say one person has been killed in a shooting involving a police officer.

The shooting happened at a home around 3 a.m. today.

Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore says the shooting followed a domestic dispute. Shore says a woman in the home was taken to AnMed Hospital for injuries from an assault that happened before the shooting.

Neither the name of the shooting victim nor the woman’s name has been released. The officer’s name has not been released, either.

The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating.
