20 arrested in Aiken County drug crackdown

    Aiken County sheriff’s investigators have arrested 20 people in a narcotics crackdown.

    According to a news release, the two-month investigation, which concluded Wednesday, resulted in 50 warrants on people who sold drugs to undercover officers.

    Eleven of those suspects have been arrested, along with eight others who were found in possession of narcotics at the time of the arrests, authorities said.

    Police have seized drugs worth about $6,000, including crack cocaine and marijuana, and have confiscated about $10,000 and five vehicles used in the sale of the narcotics.

    Several agencies assisted the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.

    Good Job!

    I wonder what would have happened if Austin Rhodes would have gotten his way 10 years ago when we elected Sheriff Hunt. Would we have a sheriffs office doing this good on a regular basis?

    Proud of Sheriff Hunt..........

    We are very proud of Sheriff Hunt,his command staff and all his officers. He makes Aiken County proud on a daily basis. A strong Sheriff on both sides of the river is a powerful tool against what we are seeing in this article. Give a criminal no place to run and he may move to another locale.......I like the following quote and thumbs up if you do too. Every society gets the kind of criminal it deserves. What is equally true is that every community gets the kind of law enforcement it insists on.
